Hang Saddam – Kiss Pervez’s Butt
[CS Monitor] Only hours after he returned home Monday from seven years in exile, former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was arrested and deported to Saudi Arabia. Mr. Sharif had returned intending to challenge Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf’s troubled, US-backed military rule ahead of national elections due before Jan. 15.
So, the Pakistani Supreme Court rules that Sharif has every right to enter the country. Musharraf, ACTING LIKE ANOTHER LEADER WE KNOW, decides he doesn’t have to follow the law and deports Sharif. Whoosh. Gone. History. Why? Because Sharif poses a serious challenge to the generals US backed dictatorial rule.
And of course the US, who condemns lawlessness and dictatorship and supports democracy and free elections, stepped in to denounce Musharraf’s despicable action.
[AP] A top U.S. envoy paid tribute to President Gen. Pervez Musharraf’s government on Wednesday with comments that could take some heat off the military leader as he struggles to secure another term in office.
Dep. Sec. of State John Negroponte praised Pakistan’s anti-terrorism efforts and avoided overt criticism of Monday’s deportation of…Sharif in defiance of a Supreme Court ruling.
The US will support free elections in foreign, sovereign nations as long as the candidates are the ones we approve of. If not, we’ll find new ones. We’ll forget about your history of supporting and harboring terrorists if we can use your airspace. And this pesky problem of hiding bin Laden, hell, forget it. We don’t really want him anyway.
We all know that sooner or later, as happens with all of these countries, the US will rotate Pakistan into the “evil enemy” category again. I say, why wait? Let’s invade the bastards now when they least expect it! Exploit the element of surprise!
Get India in on it! Heaven knows we need another country to help with our military manpower problem and I’m sure India has millions of available young, virile men who are ready and willing to fight in another American war. They’re always so exciting!
Besides, we might want to cause a little “attrition” in the Indian military before we inevitably rotate them into the “evil enemy” category as well.
