Nelson Mandela Honored in UK

This is a guy who deserves it

mandela.jpg[Al Jezeera]Britain is honoring Nelson Mandela, the anti-apartheid leader, with a bronze statue placed alongside those of statesmen such as Winston Churchill and Abraham Lincoln in London’s Parliament Square.

Mandela, 89, a former South African president, watched as Gordon Brown, the British prime minister, removed a veil covering the 2.7m bronze statue.

The site upon which the statue stands is reserved for memorials to great leaders and looks towards the British parliament. (article)

I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for Bush to be so honored.

Actually Bush would look good bronzed – like a pair of baby shoes. Rush Limpbaugh has been on an anti-Mandela tirade lately; claims he’s a communist.

    Can we bronze Rush too?
