Having to Legalize Integrity

Recent news tells us the congress is struggling to work out new ethics regulations – for itself. Is it just me or does anyone else think that this is absurd.

They have to pass legislation to force themselves to remain honest and honorable? Do they sit there and think to themselves, “damn, I’m gonna slip into some unethical behavior here if I’m not careful. Better make a new law to prevent it cause God knows I can’t do that all by myself.”

Where do we find these guys? Is there anyone left who behaves with integrity just because that’s the way they are?

Just asking.

I’m sure there are lots of them and I’m sure they would never get elected. Whatever it is that attracts the public to celebrities, sports figures and movie stars, it’s not integrity and if an honest man ever happened to become a viable candidate, we’d have Ann Coulter snickering about how she’s more of a man, and Limbaugh grunting about him being a bleeding heart Liberal and a dozen groups trying to portray him as a pansy, soft on crime, a flip flopper and worst of all, a Liberal.

I’m not sure how we would treat an honest woman, but I’m sure they would figure out something nasty enough.
