Pants and Paris…American front page news

If this story wasn’t so disgusting….no…even then it wouldn’t be funny. A small mom and pop dry cleaner is being sued for $54 million because they allegedly returned the wrong pair of altered pants to a customer.

This story is wrong on so many levels. First, the guy bringing the suit is a judge for Gods sake! Is it any wonder the court system is so clogged up when even a judge will tie up everyones time with a ridiculous lawsuit? He ought to be thrown off the bench for this crap. Second, this story appeared as the very first headline on Google News. Not the war, not the suffering all around the world, not innocent children being kidnapped, molested, dying of starvation and disease, not anything of any friggin importance….a pair of pants! And it will probably be the headline for days to come!

But the worst part of this is that it is really what people are interested in reading. This is what the American public wants. They don’t want to be bothered with all that other stuff. Now that Paris the skag Hilton is off the front page (forever I hope) we have to have something to take her place. I’m sure there will be interviews on TV of the sobbing store owner, press conferences with the lawyers and op ed pieces for days.

  1. Kathy Says:

This guys not the only one. Failed Supreme Court nominee, Robert Bork, is suing the Yale Club for $1 million after falling while climbing the dais to present a speech.

What’s interesting is that he once spoke out about frivolous claims and excessive punitive damage awards!

Another case of do what I say, not as I do from the ruling elite.
