New Species Discovered in Suriname

frog.jpgI always get excited by stories like this one that I saw over at Huffpost. It’s nice to see that there are still new adventures and new things to discover on our shrinking planet.

It seems that scientists have discovered a total of 24 new species in the jungles of Suriname.

Among the species found were the atelopus frog, which has distinctive purple markings; six types of fish; 12 dung beetles, and one ant species.

Dang! That means that Noah’s arc had to be even bigger than I calculated here.
